Well, that's a very moving description, but I'm afraid until I know for certain that the embryo can actually have any of those thoughts, I'm going to go with it being the mother's (and father's) choice, since I know they can suffer. Not that I think abortion should be taken lightly, it's a very serious and difficult decision that should be a last resort, but particularly in the case of rape, or where giving birth will endanger the life of the mother, is a fully justified decision.
Also, even if the baby can feel pain, and understand what is happening, I expect it would rather have those few seconds of pain than be born into a world where either nobody wants it, or nobody can support it, and where it's existence makes it's parents (or just mother's) life that much harder.
Sorry, I think I'm always going to value the mother's life before the embryo/fetus. I do understand your viewpoint though :).
Author's Response: I agree that if it comes down to rape or some1s health its ok to have an oboriton but if you got pregnet and then your boyfriend dumped you or somthing why not just have the baby instead of killing it? That way people who want or cant have babies have the opertunity to adopt that child.

ok.... It must seem that i'm heartless... sure i dont believe fully in abortion but sometimes you have to have an abortion... Like my friend who was raped at a young age and fell pregnant... Do you think, at 10 years old, she'd be able to raise a child with her mother only being 24 and no father.... so yeah thats my and my friend personal veiws on abortion (it is a true story)
Author's Response: Ok I'm NOT saying its a bad thing but if you older like an Adult you shouldn't "DO IT" without protection if you dont want a child!

okay i personally don't beleive in abortions but i do believe that some wemon have very good resons like my cousin she found out she was pregnant and she was happy and all but she has a genetic heart disease so when the baby was going to be born it would had died in mere minutes and she coundn't handle that so she aborted, and if you think that is a terible thing too do you go on right ahead.

O_o...that made me cry...ABORTION IS BAD!!! I don't understand what it means though...did the doctor...kill the baby?
Author's Response: Um... it is bad but in some cases its ok and it made me cry too. And yes thats what the doctor did and I think its wrong!
