Hm... you have a good point here! I know I'm horrible with leaving reviews because I leave them on the last chapter I read and people tend not to like that. If I review every chapter though, it cuts into the time I have for reading the story... EUGH! The humanity!
Author's Response: lol I know! Though, if it's a really really good chapter (or a really crappy one) I'll leave a review anyway. I, too, am still bad about leaving reviews, but I'm getting better!! ^^;;rnrn- Yumi

I concur with most of your points, particularly about yaoi (and NaruSasu), yuri, misuse of Japanese, review hounding (when I'm writing, that happens, but when I'm on hiatus because of a block, I care much less), and quality of writing & publicity. (Which is most of your points, basically.) Sometimes, romances get too sappy (that happens with my stories, too, and I'm doing my best to prevent it from happening), and it peeves me when someone misuses Japanese.
I know this is old, but I'm just checking through random stuff (when I should be doing homework -_-'). Makes me want to write something like this, too, although I'm pretty sure it'll turn into a bitter rant, so I won't be doing that (not good for my health, you know...).
Author's Response: lol, thank you! I'm glad that many people have agreed with my observations! And even though you think this will turn into a bitter rant, I think it might do you good if you ever find writer's block in your path. If it makes you write, then write! ^__^rnrn- Yumi ^^

I don't know what Yuri or Yaoi is, but I could probably figure it out. I previously thought that MUCK was something you got on the bottom of your shoe. A Vampires Butterfly sounds like a good movie title. AND... what the heck is an OC? I hope I amuse everyone with my lack of fanfic-know-how... I really am clueless. All I know is that there are some darn good authors on this site and I enjoy reading what other people imagine up. I thought that I was the only one who thought up crazy anime scenerios in my spare time.
Author's Response: umm. . . well. . . Yaoi can be interpreted in various ways. Some define it as homosexual male pairings, others gay male sex. . . I personally think it's just male pairings, regardless if it includes sex or not. Yuri is the same thing with homosexual females. I still have not figured out what MUCK is (and yes, I agree that it's the stuff you get on the bottom of your shoe), otherwise I'd gladly give you the definition of that too. A Vampires Butterfly is the cousin of a XenaAdamana (who is no longer updating on this site sadly), and is a wonderful writer. I believe A Vampires Butterfly is on one of our Top Ten lists. And to answer your final question, OC stands for Original Character: a character that the author has created that fits into the world that they are writing it. Sometimes, as I have done before, authors get the permission of other authors to use the other author's OC(s). If you ever see OOC, that stands for Out Of Character, meaning that the characters in the fic do not interact nor behave as they would normally. Yes, there is a huge difference there (and it took me a while to figure that out). Don't worry about your lack of knowledge. Just being around fanfics will earn you the lingo. ^^ Thanks!!rnrn- Yumi

I always feel so sorry for yuri. I wish I could write for the poor thing, but my skills lack in that kind of thing. It took me forever to get recognized on TONFA. I just found some big stories, left a really nice review, dropped my name, and updated really quick. Worked well enough. I try to always leave a review, but lately I have been horrible at it. I secretly love reading Mary-Sues and Gary-Stus. I'm not sure why. I guess because it is interesting to just drop what any real human would be like and see the world of imagination and perfection. Why have a emotional real character when you could just write about the perfect you in an anime world? It appeals to both reader and writer. But people like to complain about it because it lacks and reality. Okay now I am rambling. Sorry. Everyone loves Sasuke/Naruto and like you pointed out are not guitly about it or have any reason to be. Now with like Shikamaru/Naruto, it doesn't get many reviews because it couldn't really happe, even if it is the best story out there, wrong couple, won't get reviews. Okay now I really have to stop rambling. All very true. With much love, A Vampires Butterfly ^.^
Author's Response: lol, it's okay to ramble. . . heaven knows I do it myself a lot ^^;;;. . . anyway thanks for the great review ^_____^ makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. . . -Yumi
