I'm sad to see that you've removed your copy of this story from Fanfictionnet, for whatever reason. But I'm also sadden by the thought of never giving you this review I wrote who knows how long ago. (Even though it's rather, lengthy.) I just found it recently, while browsing old files on my computer.. Better late then never, eh?

Dear Delauney,

I must say, your story is simply amazing. The more I read it, the more I'm impressed by it. I think, the first time I got to read it, the experience was like a sudden and divine ephiphany. I have never seen or read anything quite like yours, and I somewhat doubt I ever will.

Hah, might be a lot of glaring praise here. But I'll try to be somewhat constructive in my overwhelming appreciation.

I think I may have emailed or reviewed your story before, and probably have. But my names have changed so .. I can't be sure. Everything you write is so .. secret and concrete. Like, the author notes. (As good a thing as any, I suppose, to start with.)

They have a serious purpose -- as all notes should -- but reading them just makes you see the story with new eyes. There is no ignoring them. That diminishes the story.

>> And that scene from the movie Constantine when the twin sister
>> Isabel commits suicide. I think it’s the most beautiful scene
>> in the movie. My attempt at suicide was not so…so…
>> transcendental… (not sure that helped).

I just want to say that this is an amazing story, and that I can't wait for whatever continuations you have of it. Your last update was near over a year ago, and it makes me squeamish to dream that this will never be finished.

All the things you hint to in the story, drives me delirious with expectation. I want to see Naruto let himself be captured. I want to see how he destroys Tsunade and the village, though such plots I usually find no satisfaction in.

I don't know how to interpert your views on masochism, and I don't have much of the mind to. But in the story, the masochism there, is probably the entirety of what gives this it's charm. Somehow, it feels so wrong, but tastes so good.

I'm not much of a masochist. I do like to bite my skin, but I never bleed from it. But, watching Naruto and Ashitaka, it becomes something .. etheral, like the visiage of Naruto. I don't know how to explain it.

And too, though I had completely forgotten this, despite the fact that there are original characters, I read and saw them and accepted them as readily as if they were of the original cast! I didn't even note any difference or oddity in their appearance. How odd. But I did enjoy them.

Heh. I love the scene where Naruto states “This has never happened before .. I am very hungry.” It just gives leaves us with this .. detached feeling feeling, that he is detached from us and the world. Though we know so, it still makes me happy to read it, though I can't say the reason exactly.

'Could they blame Naruto for his madness?' I like that line too, a lot. Because he is mad, but you -- or rather I -- don't really notice it too much until then. You are just, enthralled by him. Too enthralled to note that he _isn't_ sane, and quite possibly will never be so.

I'm very curious as to what that dark presence is in Naruto. I keep thinking that, either it is something that was always within him, or something the Monks helped to create; whether they unleashed it from somewhere else into him, or created it in him by what they had him suffer.

Maybe all. I'd so like to find out.

And Sasuke, and Shikamaru, and Sakura! They have no idea no clue what's going on, and it just makes it all the more amusing! Not because you -- or I -- are sitting there delighting in their suffering, but because seeing them so faultered is .. well, amusing.

As if, through all the stories you've read, you've watched them walk as in a straight line, never missing a step, and never tripping. But here, they skid across the pavement. It's not cheap or gaudy - it is, in fact, very realistic in a sense. You could truly see it happening.

Which makes me all the more anxious for when Naruto really, uh, throws his hand into Kohona. And begins to move them to his plans.

This is a brilliant fanfiction!
I really like the way Naruto is described, and his personality.
Is the dark evil cloud thing in Narutos mind the Kyuubi?
