Hehehe. Pain through a hissy fit. Bad kitty cat! But I liked his reaction. It was very reasonable. But wait, did he just say Aika was holding back? But why? I don't get it. Why would she old back in a game of life or death? I wonder if it will lead him to doing anything to get people back into the Games.
Wow. Shoji just got the biggest advantage ever. His ability is really going to help him out in the Games. I'm surprised people aren't sponsoring just to bet on him or something. Then again, would Pein let people know about him killing his dog?
Sheesh. You had me terrified my oc would kill Mokuren. I don't want to poor girl to die T_T. I just keep thinking of Rue, and then I'm yelling "No, please don't die!" But no, Toshiro did something I would want him to do. Great job on his character, by the way, as well as with Kaze. They're just so great. I really like the closeness between Kazuki and Mokunen. It's just so cute, like a big brother watching out for his little sister.
Overall this was a wonderful chapter. I can't wait to see what will happen next. I'm really glad that Toshiro and Kaze are allies. That's going to be interesting when it gets down to the final ones. Though I can say that it woudn't be Kaze doing the killing. Sheesh, I'm too used to making pure characters......

Ah, this chapter was so good! I loved Pein's little tantrum in the control room. Now it kinda leaves me in suspense of what he is going to do about everything.
Shoji is back in the games with a new advantage. How amazing! I just hope it doesn't get him killed by the gamemakers...
Whoa, I was so freaked when Mokuren said she resigned. I was afraid a huge fireball was going to crush her for saying those words - I wouldn't think the gamemakers would be happy with that :P So now Toshiro and Kaze are allies, and Mokuren and Kazuki are still alright. Good, no one has died just yet.
Awesome update, Konan-san! This was incredible! Keep up the amazing work!

It was very interesting. And I liked how Katniss was portrayed as a guy. Kinda liked how a girl helping a guy, that kind of thing. Opposites.
Author's Response: Thanks. Well, it is sort of like that, but not really because there's all the other characters and all... That's really the only resemblance between Shoji, Akahana, and The Hunger Games as Peeta and Katniss. ;)

Okay, I don't know why I didn't give this to you before, but here. You totally deserve it:

Anyway, to the totally mind blowing chapter. Well, just like I said, it was mind blowing. I knew that blow wasn't going to kill her, but I had no idea you'd do this. I absolutely loved it (and that doesn't even describe the extent of how much I liked it). I mean, I hate that Aika died, but still. I completely and totally loved it. The fight scene was just...... Well, I think this entire chapter made me realize just how long I've been delaying the need for the YOUR STORY reward. I mean, the entire flashback and everything from the genjutsu was just phenomenal. And then you go and do the part with her dying. I don't think you could have ended that battle in a better way. I honestly don't. I think the entire part with the flashback then him screaming "Stop" was my favorite. Wow, Konan-chan. This chapter is definitely one of my favorites (if not favorite) one(s) so far.

You killed her?! You killed Aika?! But... Aww... I was so hoping that there'd be a rebellion and everyone would live... I guess it doesn't work that way all the time... This is so sad! Who are you going to kill next?!
Despite the death, I really liked this fight scene. No, like isn't the right word. Loved. Absolutely loved. It was so amazingly well written, it came out so well. You did a great job on this chapter. Keep up the incredible work!

I'm starting to wonder if I just set Kaze up to be killed by the gamemakers, but I absolutely love him. It shows there's still kindness in a world without our beloved Naruto.
Anyway, I love the banner. It's absolutely amazing. You did a great job with it.
This chapter was just as amazing. I loved the fights. You did a superb jobwith them. I don't think I'll ever be ready for any of them to die, so don't worry there. I can't wait for more, Konan-chan. You take Suzanne's wonderful story and make it your own. I'm sure if she knew about Naruto, she'd loved your fanfiction.

Well, first off, I love the new banner. Totally amazing! Nice work.
Now, as for the chapter, complete and total intensity! I love action! The fights are just heating up, and it's just so exciting to see how it all plays out. I'm still worried about who will die, of course, but I guess that is what must happen... Oh dear...

Holy epicness! That was absolutely amazing. I loved it!!!! This chapter was amazing and a great way to start off the story (or, well, at least with an actual chapter) after so long of being gone. I loved trap 7. It was both creative and truly did what you wanted it to.
The characters were awesome. And I can't wait to see Toshiro (and maybe Kaze) in action. Seeing Rey and Aika fight is also fun. I'm wondering just what will happen the next chapter. I can't wait to see it (whenever it's out). This was an amazing chapter, Konan! I love love love this story.

I like the way you show that they truly believe the Kami to be their 'gods'. Also, the concept of introducing each pair to the reader so as to attach an emotional connection is a good one

As I said before, there isn't an entirely smooth flowing of story. A good way to take care of it would be to leave the chapter and reread and rewrite it after a couple of days.
Other than that, jolly good chap, my man. (Haha, see what I did there? Chap, chapter, british accent-..... I need a betareader for my stupid puns, LOL)

There are a couple of awkward sentences, "She knew her father was watching her along with the time.", which are sort of confusing. These sentences are grammatically correct but don't read smoothly or register properly.
A little bit more despcription would flesh out the story a bit more, giving it more perspective and view, I think.
