Summary: Ten thousand years ago, an old monk invited the animals of the world to celebrate the New Year with him. Twelve animals came to his invitation. Those same twelve are the animals of the zodiac, and they are the same animals who are represented through the hand signs that are used in shinobi arts. The old monk became known as the Guardian, and when he died, his soul was reincarnated into another body. And this cycle still continues. The new Guardian is named Suki Kurohoshi.
