So there he was. Walking around the town with some girl he had just met, in a city he knew nothing of. Asking people he didn’t even know, if he could spend the next few days living with them. Needless to say so far their efforts were seemingly futile. They had already asked the boy with the dog, Kiba. That creepy kid in the glasses, Shino I think his name was. And that really rude prick Sasuke. All of them had missions to go on, and didn’t feel comfortable with a stranger in their house while they weren’t there. He couldn’t blame them really. He wouldn’t let him in his house while he was away either. Which is kind of sad when he thought about it. “Hey don’t worry.” Sakura said giving a thumbs up, “we’ll find someone to take you in! I promise!” “I don’t know Sakura...everyone seems so sketched out by me.” He replied looking down in defeat. Just as he had given up all hope and came to terms with sleeping in a bush somewhere, an enchanting voice came from across the road. “Why hello there Sakura. Nice day isn’t it?” he looked up to see the source of the voice and wasn’t very surprised to see a rather timid looking girl approaching. “Wow” he thought “is every girl in this world genetically modified to be so damn cute?!” “Hi Hinata!” sakura chimed in breaking his train of thought, “an yes, it is a beautiful day. Sun, birds, a nice cool breeze. Couldn’t be better!” “I agree whole heartedly.” The small girl said. “Oh where are my manners! Hinata, meet Fauler. He’s new to the village.” Sakura said pushing Fauler closer to her. “Hey! You don’t have to push!” Fauler said rubbing his shoulder and thrusting out a hand for a handshake, “it’s nice to meet you miss Hinata. My names Fauler Kreiger.” “Oh! P-please. The pleasures all mine.” She said slightly blushing and shaking his hand. “Aww!!! So precious!” he thought. “Listen Hinata. Im not gonna beat around the bush here. My friend needs a place to stay while I get his paperwork in order. Would he be able to crash at your place for a few days?” sakura asked, getting serious all of a sudden. Hinatas face turned a shade of red he had never seen before. I mean he really thought she might pass out at any moment. “Uhhh…I-i-if he really n-needs a place to stay…im s-sure Neji wouldn’t mind letting him sleep on the couch for a f-few nights.” She said quietly, poking her fingers together and as red as a ripe tomato. Fauler got super excited about this. “OH MY GOD!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!! You won’t even know im there I promise!! “ He said, well, yelled with joy. So much joy in fact, that he hadn’t realized he had scooped up the tiny girl in an inescapable bear hug. Hinata, believe it or not, got even redder. Then pale, and eventually passed out in his arms. “Oh crap!!! What happened?!” he screamed placing her gently down on the ground. “You idiot!! She obviously very shy when it comes to boys!! Why did you have to hug her like that?!?” sakura yelled in return, while punching him in the head. “Ow!! Damn it stop hitting me!!” he said “I don’t know why I did it I was just so happy I had to hug something!” Anyway after a while of Sakura beating on Fauler, and Fauler crying like a little girl, Hinata finally woke up from her panic induced coma. She let out a tiny sigh and put a hand to her forehead. “OH! Thank god! Are you okay?!” Fauler asked kneeling down and resting a hand on her shoulder and using the other to brush some hair from her face. She blushed yet again, “y-yea, im alright. S-sorry about that…I g-get worked up sometimes.” She said quietly in her cute little voice. “Please don’t apologize.” Fauler said looking down in guilt “it was my fault. I get a little over excited sometimes.” Hinata just stared at him not knowing what to say. This guy was like her polar opposite but...for some reason she was strangely attracted to him. Sakura being, well herself, decided to break the silence. “Well I’ll leave you guys to get further acquainted. Oh and Fauler, I’ll be in touch alright. See ya.” They all wave their goodbyes and Hinata and Fauler get up off the ground dusting off. “That Sakura sure is something” Fauler says with a chuckle. Hinata shows a smile that could rival the sun “yea she’s the best, as long as you’re on her good side.” She says giggling lightly. Just then Fauler stomach groaned loudly. He stiffed up, nervously chuckling, while Hinata burst into laughter. “C’mon” she said “let’s go get some food before your stomach eats itself.” “No its fine…I don’t have any money anyway.” He said holding his still groaning belly. “I didn’t ask if you had money silly. I said, Lets go get some food.” She said smiling and pointing to a ramen stand not too far away. He was still reluctant so she dragged him over there and made him sit down. “You really don’t have to do this!!” he said his stomach still moaning “I’ll be fine” “nonsense. You need to eat.” She said ordering a bowl for herself and Fauler. They both just sat there quietly. Hinata was being her usual shy self, poking her fingers together and glancing over at a young man in an orange and blue jump suit. “Who’s that?” Fauler asked, making sure he was quiet enough so the young man wouldn’t hear him. “Oh! Uhhh...umm...that’s N-Naruto Uzumaki.” She said blushing a bright red. “Oooooooh.” Fauler said nodding with a devilish smirk on his face, “you like him don’t you?” Hinata got that crazy shade of red on her face again and looked down at the table. “Whoa whoa! Relax I was just asking! No need to get all worked up.” He said chuckling. At that point Naruto had finally acknowledged their existence. “Heyyyyyy! Hinata! How you been?!” Naruto said waving and walking over with his half empty ramen bowl. Fauler reached into his pocket getting his last cigarette and a lighter watching the young man approach and sit down next to Hinata. “g-g-good.” She replied still looking down at the table “how are y-you?” “Im great!” he said slurping down the rest of the ramen and looking over to Fauler, “hey who’s your friend?” To avoid Hinata possibly passing out in panic again Fauler answered for her “Names Fauler” he said shaking Narutos hand “im new here.” “Oh! Well welcome to Konohagakure! Im Naruto Uzumaki and don’t forget it!” he said overly energetic as usual. Fauler chuckled and thanked him. A few short minutes later the man with the ramen came and placed his and Hinatas bowl down on the table. “enjoy!” the man said with a smile. Hinata paid the man and gave him a generous tip as a thank you. “You’re gonna love that!” Naruto spouted out “Ichiraku Ramen is the best in town!” Fauler looked at the bowl and began devouring it like some kind of rabid animal. The whole bowl was gone even before his cigarette went out. “Told ya you would like it.” Naruto said laughing loudly. “Thank you so much Hinata. Im in your debt. I swear as soon as I get a job ill pay you back.” Fauler said bowing his head. “Oh no its fine! Really I don’t mind.” Hinata replied. “Well I gotta go. See you guys around!” Naruto said before taking off. For a while after that while Hinata ate her ramen like a normal human being, her and Fauler talked about a lot. Like the history of the village, Naruto, why she was so shy around boys, and about being a ninja. All sorts of stuff. Their conversation carried on, out of the ramen shop and through the streets until they were finally outside Hinatas house.
