While Rayne is right about Sasuke not deserving what happened to him, she should kind of be aware that the dickhead is cognitively functional enough make decisions on his own. There is a point in time where the village is no longer responsible for what he does and when people have to realise that Sasuke is just being a really big dick about everything. A good person would have seen the suffering his brother went through and then tried to live by his dying words, despite the fact that it would hurt a lot to just try to forget. Sasuke is completely selfish and at a certain point, people need to stop blaming the village and blame Sasuke for his own actions.
Also, Itachi, even though I love the man, was no saint. Yes, he was thirteen and naïve when he decided to abide by the village’s will, but the man really fucked up Sasuke; it was his decision to make Sasuke hate him which led to Sasuke obsessing over revenge and centring his life in it. Itachi was being selfish, just like Sasuke is being now, because he wanted to die by Sasuke’s hand in some kind of skewed attempt at redemption. A better option would have been to ask the village to tell Sasuke that when Itachi tried to run, the ANBU caught up to him and killed him. Sure, Itachi doesn’t get to die the way he wants, but that way Sasuke would have been a fucking normal child for the most part and wouldn’t have been obsessed with revenge.
I just think both of the Uchiha did stupid things, and while the village is responsible, they all made bad decisions. I feel like Rayne is kind of letting her feelings for Sasuke get in the way when thinking about the massacre and it’s clouding her judgement. To be honest, I would like to see more inner turmoil over this. And what I mean by that is she logically knows that Sasuke is, in part, responsible for his own actions, but she keeps on trying to convince herself that he’s still good inside; that he’s only acting like the way he is because he is hurt. Rayne was no a stupid person in the previous story, I always felt that she thought things through logically, so I don’t think it would be absent here.

I was surprised I actually recognized the band. Though I've only heard their Fighting song.
Just another random thought that occurred to me. This is after Pein's attack - shouldn't Konoha be in recovery mode or ruins? I thought of that last chapter, but I forgot.
I, like most judging from the reviews, was shocked at her waking up in Izumo's bedroom. I was extremely glad to find out nothing had happened. Rayne must end up with Sasuke or Naruto! I think.... Your story is making me like Izumo, so it's a bit conflicted, but Sasuke needs her, so..... Haha. Her conflict with Koketsu is so much fun. I love those two and how they're always butting heads. And his friendship with Izumo is fun. I really like these two characters after reading them in your fanfiction(s).
Hahahaha! Good ol' Rayne. Such a temper, and yet it's so fun. When it's not directed at you, of course. I loved that she made her own door, and then Yamato's later reaction. I don't know how it was before you corrected it, but I really liked this version. I can really imagine Naruto's state in this chapter. I was about to facepalm at the kiss (don't know why - just felt like doing it), and then ended up laughing when Yamato made the Ahem sound. Just like an adult. Even though it has slowly been unraveling, it's nice to see Rayne describing what happened all in once, as well as telling us how she survived. There's another mystery solved.
She knocked out Yamato. Great way to make an impression, Rayne. First blow him back by breaking a hole into their cabin, then knock him unconscious. Then again, this is Rayne we're talking about, and this is what makes her so lovable.
This was a great chapter, Tink-chan. I really enjoyed it, and so glad that HTAO wasn't the end of this, because I don't know what I'd do without your awesome stories. Okay, well, maybe I'm exaggerating a bit, I'll admit. BUT RAYNE STILL IS TOTALLY AWESOME!!!!!!!
Author's Response: I don't listen to Yellowcard too often (I just happened to see them in concert twice lol), but this song makes me think of Rayne and Sasuke (: In regards to your random thought, yeah, that re-occurred after I had already written the chapter and re-read the manga strips...another whoopsie. I'll probably edit it out, but for right now, it's just going to stay there and I'm going to pray that no one else picks up on it :D Ahaha...hah >n>
The way I had Rayne's grand entrance into the hut wasn't as comical, and I find her blowing a hole in the side of the place more believable than what I first wrote, so I'm happy with the revision. I'm glad you followed how she survived. Figuring out how to explain things without any loop holes was challenging, but I think I got it. It will be explained in depth in future chapters as well :3 Ah, your comment about her knocking out Yamato made me laugh like a weirdo in the grocery store xD People stared, but it was too damn funny to contain myself.

Gave me a flipping heart attack when Rayne woke up in Izumo's apartment. Seriously, I still figured there was gonna be a RayneXSasu or RayneXNaru story at this point, but that doesn't mean she can't do...other things (was my logic).
That being said... the first thing she does is kiss Naruto awake... Personally I think it would have been better if she punched him awake and in his sleepy haze she kissed him. Kissing him awake seemed so inappropriate considering they haven't seen each other. That being said, the kiss was still pretty sweet and a very nice moment.
And now that Rayne has pretty much knocked Yamato out, I wonder how she'll treat all these other Konoha shinobi when she sees them XD Nice work on this chapter, definitely wanna see how everyone else feels when they see Rayne. Keep up the good work.
Author's Response: Good, good. I'm glad everyone that reads this is as perverse as I (x Yeah, y'anno, I was torn between having her kiss him, or punch him. Just as I did with chapter 3, I may rewrite that scene in chapter 4, while updating chapter 5.. Yes? Yes. Yes I will, and I will take your advice, and I will improve! :D

ok just woah! why is rayne in Izumo's room? oooh ok so nothing hapened, that makes sense. I take back my shocked objection. and tearful denounciations forestalled. I would be mad at you if you trolled us by making rayne end up with someone other than Naruto or Sasuke.
tsunade didn't go into a coma untill the invasion of pein, after the kirabi vs sasuke thing.
rayne has knocked out yamato to go off on an adventure with naruto against orders? seems legit! XP
Author's Response: LOL IMAGINE IF I DID?! Oh man that'd be the ultimate troll xD Well this takes place after the invasion. She's announced unconcious in chapter 450, then Danzo becomes hokage, etc. Haha, what could possibly go wrong with her disrespecting the elders, allowing Danzo to be killed even though she was aware of the plan, and knocking out a Leaf operative?
