“Dear and Beautiful Sakura-Chan!!! Will you please join me for a moonlit dinner? My flames of youth glow bright in my love for you!!!”
“No Lee.”
“B-but I have trained long and hard to gain your love. I have worked hard and long to prove myself and show that I love you and would do anything to protect you. Why will you not go on just one date with me?”
“I don’t love you Lee. I’m sorry, but my heart belongs to Sasuke-kun. Please don’t feel too bad. Just give up on me.”
And like that he was broken.
She broke him with just those few words.
Usually after another refusal he would just go and train more, but not this time. This time it just hurt too much. It just seemed as if it would take too much effort to go and train. It just didn’t seem worth it.
‘Just give up on me…’
“But I loved you” He whispered to himself, a beautiful red rose he had brought for Sakura fell to the ground, petals falling into the dirt as tear drops landed next to them.
Meanwhile…
“N-naruto-kun? I-I wanted to t-tell you s-something.”
“What is it, Hinata?”
“I-I-I love you!”
“You what?!?”
“I love you, Naruto-kun. I have f-for years. I have always admired you and looked up to you. I have always thought you were amazing. And I have watched you grow stronger. I always believed in you. And I love you.”
“I’m surprised, but I’m sorry. I don’t love you back. You are really nice and pretty, but I love someone else. I’m really sorry, but don’t love me. I’m not worth it.”
And she broke.
Her heart shattered.
It took her years to gather the courage to tell him and he loved someone else. He didn’t love her back. He never would. Was she not strong enough? Was she not brave enough? What had she not done? What did she need to do to improve? Was it worth it anymore? Was it worth it to train harder? To do more just to see if she could improve?
‘I’m not worth it…’
“You were worth it. But now…” A white lily fell to the Earth, more tears landing in the soft dirt.
As both flowers hit the dirt, wilting away, two hearts wilted with them. Two hearts wilted and died. But can new flowers take root in the tear stained soil? Can something new grow where another has died? Could it work?

Chapter notes: Hi there!!! I'm in a Rock Lee mood, so I have decided to stupidly start this.
