Yes, we are I guess.
Rivals for one thing.
A heart.
Not just any heart ether.
Oh no, we are rivals, for the heart of Naruto.
Yes, we fight each other for the affection of one silly obnoxious boy.
Maybe it is because we both seem to have found a common factor in him.
Me, the loneliness of living alone with no one.
Then again he could say the same couldn’t he?
Well I am the obviously the more attractive of us both,
Ah so some say he could say the same.
I love Naruto though.
So does he.
We have gone through so much me and him.
He of course says the same.
So we fight.
We are equals on this battlefield.
He says he has changed just for Naruto.
He says I just ran off for power.
That I left Naruto heartbroken and he picked up the pieces.
Well Naruto chased after me didn’t he?
He didn’t stay in your arms did he?
No he went after me.
And I came back.
So he should back off.
But he said I should just go back.
That I have been replaced.
Hn. He wishes.
I know Naruto loves me.
Not him.
He doesn’t even live here.
He can’t stay with Naruto.
No he has to leave soon.
Then I will show him who Naruto turns to.
His best friend.
His rival.
Some times I wish Naruto wasn’t so oblivious to our feelings.
That he would go ahead and chose.
Chose who wins his heart.
Chose who he loves.
But he is oblivious.
So I have two rivals.
One much, much more important then the other.
I will win.
I don’t care what he says.
Naruto cares about me.
Not him.
Never him.
So they are both demons?
I see no reason why that should mean something.
He says they share the feeling.
The feeling of hatred.
That I could never know that feeling like they do.
So maybe I can’t, but it doesn’t mean he knows the feeling of love.
It doesn’t mean he knows how to love Naruto.
Like I do.
So we are rivals.
We do not agree.
We may never.
We both want Naruto’s heart.
We both may never get it.
But one thing is for certain in this uncertain problem.
We are rivals.
