Somewhere in the Hidden Leaf Forest
Shizake is seventeen at this time.
"Come out already."
He appears...The one I've lamented not killing long ago. The one I've worked my whole life just to kill. My older cousin, Itachi Uchiha.
"You've grown up cousin...your hair has gotten longer and your eyes sharper with hate." He murmurs.
"Why are you here? This is Hidden Leaf territory, why are you out here?" I bite back.
"For your eyes."
"What's that supposed to mean?!"
He breaks into crows as the mass off them hurdles at me. I cartwheel to the side and dodge the mass as he reappears. A clone appears above me so I flip backwards, planting my hands on the ground and kicking the clone to make it disappear. I feel an elbow crash into my side which sends me tumbling off to the side. I get up and move my messy hair away from my eyes.
"You're still strong as ever Itachi." I say.
"Hn."
He really is Sasuke's brother...
"Your chief of the anbu black ops no? Yet you don't wear a mask. Why is that?"
"I don't believe in that, I still want my emotions because they're the only thing that has fueled my hatred for you!"
"Excellent..."
My body goes numb as a knee collides with my spine. How he got that clone behind me is a mystery to me. I crash to the earth before the paralysis disappears and I get back on my feet. Whipping out a kunai, I make a few hand-signs screaming, "Fire style: Dragon flame jutsu!" Followed by two dragon like fireballs that sear towards Itachi.
Itachi dodges by flickering to the side so I use that moment to disappear behind the fire and appear next to Itachi, swinging the kunai at his throat. He catches my wrist and flips over me, using the momentum to throw me against a tree, popping my shoulder out of place in the process.
"AGH!!!" I scream from the unbearable pain of my tendons being torn.
"I see..."
"See what?!" I roar, clutching my shoulder.
"You're still...to weak!"
I massage my shoulder back into place, "Don't underestimate me cousin!" Flaring the three tomoed sharingan in my eye, I flicker behind Itachi and go for a simple leg sweep. He reacts by dissipating into those damned crows and reappearing behind me. He grabs the back of my collar and yanks it backwards to smash my head into the dirt. Then he picks me up by the throat and stares me in the eyes with his cold murderous eyes.
"Tch. Genjutsu won't work on me cousin..." I spit to his face.
With that, he pulses the deadly mangekyou in his eyes, "But can you retract these eyes?" He whispers
I smirk as two of my clones drop on him and strike him with chidori in an x formation to paralyze him. Quick enough so he can't preform any deadly genjutsu. "It seems I have underestimated you..." He says.
I break his grip and roar the whitish bluish lightning in both my fists as I go for the finishing blow. "Goodbye." He quickly whispers before breaking down into the black birds and vanishing.
"Grr..."
The lightning dies down in my hands and the two clones I used before dissolve into smoke. The sharingan fades from my hateful eyes and a tear follows after that. I still can't stop him...I feel as if I never will. Not without Sasuke though and I still need to bring him back...
I wipe the dust off my black shirt bearing the Uchiha fan and turn my body towards the direction the Hidden Leaf is in. Time to head back I suppose. Picking up my feet, I dash back to the village, my home, to meet back up with my comrades. Itachi...what was that? Some sort of check up? Tch, can't dwell on it forever, when the time comes, I'll be ready to fight him.
After about a good twenty minute session of moving from branch to branch I make it to the outer gates and scale the wall to get inside. As I land I spot Naruto walking with Sakura and Kakashi sensei so I walk up to them.
"Hey Shizake!" Naruto yells, being the first one to see me.
"What's up guys?" I respond.
"We were just looking for you. We have a mission." Kakashi says in his usually calm voice.
"Glad she gives me some leeway being the chief of black ops and what not."
"It's pretty normal actually, since you are supposed to be anonymous faces it makes sense to put you into normal mission work to protect your identity. No one would suspect it." Kakashi explains.
"Yeah! Which also means you can be with us!" Yells Naruto.
"And I'm glad for that. Lets get going?" I ask.
We begin the walk to the Hokage's office, passing various stands containing foods and trinkets. The usual vendors in their selected spots for the day. I get close to Sakura and whisper in her ear, "You got any bandage tape?"
"Yeah, why what happened to you?" She asks.
"Uh...nothing. I uh popped it out of place while I was training." I stutter.
She gives me a suspicious look before taking out the tape and wrapping it for me. Her being extremely well trained in the medical field really helps her knowledge as she gets it in a secure position to where my shoulder feels great actually. I thank her by giving her a hug and we continue out walk to the Hokage building.
We make it there in about ten minutes and head up the stairs and into the office with no difficulty, not that it should be difficult, but you know what I mean. We meet the blonde haired fifth at her desk as she tosses Kakashi the mission scroll.
"The Village Hidden in the Waterfalls has asked for our assistance. A group of rebels have been ransacking and robbing the village. These are trained ex-shinobi so be careful." She briefly explains.
We all nod in unison, pick up our packs, and head for the door, heading for the gates of the leaf. The sun is brightly shining with the heat being hot as ever, the middle of summer sure packing a lot of heat. My hair being long as ever sure doesn't help either, I can already feel myself being depleted of fluids so I take a sip from my canteen. We reach the forests edge and traverse the forest in the quickest way possible, making for the Waterfall Village. Why they need our help is a mystery to me, something bad must of happened if none of their shinobi can rid of these rebels.
Kakashi stops on a branch and turns his attention to us, "We should discuss our plan first."
"What do you suggest?" Sakura inquires.
"First things first, we head to the village leader's office and get the basic details. From there we'll figure out where they've been striking and post up in that area and wait for them to strike."
"Sounds simple enough." I add.
"I shouldn't have to repeat myself but I will...be careful. We don't know what we're up against until we come face to face with it." Kakashi warns.
"Ha! We don't need to worry about anything, no one can defeat us!" Naruto loud mouths earning a smack in the head by Sakura. I'm surprised he doesn't have brain damage at this point...
"Naruto! Shut your mouth for once!" She yells at him.
Naruto clutches his head and dares not utter another word. I laugh at the situation as Kakashi sighs and turns back to lead us to the Waterfall Village. For another four hours we quietly journey through the land between the Leaf and Waterfall. Kakashi finds a good stop and sets down his bag.
"We'll rest here tonight. The village is still a day's journey from here so we'll need all of our energy tomorrow." Kakashi says.
We don't argue as we setup our tents and prepare the fire, food, and water for the night. Everyone gathers around the fire and stares into the dancing flames on this warm summer night. The sound of crickets chirping, the humid air, and the warm earth definitely signifies summer. How I love these peaceful nights with just nature and my comrades. Sakura is the first to yawn and says her good nights as she retires to her tent for the night. Kakashi and Naruto do the same leaving me with guard duty for the next two hours. Hey I don't mind, this gives me time to think and write, can't argue with that.

Story notes: So there's no real plot to this story, just random things I'm putting together. So I'll be taking OC requests for this too!
