Sasuke was gone and there was nothing that Sakura could do about it. She felt so weak and useless when she tried to stop him, but at the end all she heard from him was a simple thank you and then she saw darkness.
Naruto was gone. He went with Jiraya to train for about two years. He promised Sakura that he would bring her Sasuke-kun back. There was nothing that she could do to make him wait for her.
Kakashi was gone for a two month mission to gather information about Orochimaru current headquarters, leaving Lady Tsunade as the new Hokage of the Leaf Village.
The village was slowly rebuilding itself…and Sakura found herself with nothing to do. When she asked if she could help no one would let her. They didn't want her beautiful skin to be tainted and that she wasn't fit on doing any kind of work.
So here she was staring at her parents who stared at her in disgust at their daughter failure in the Chunin Exams. At times they wondered if they spoiled Sakura too much and that was the reason why she was so weak.
She was the only one in the clan that was very useless and weak. They were both Anbu captains both in charge of their own teams.
"Sakura we're very disappointed." Sakura's dad Akito told his daughter harshly dragging the disappointed word out. Kiki, Sakura's mother agreed.
"When you graduated and become a genin we thought that you actually take this seriously." Kiki scowled as Sakura stared at the ground on her two feet.
"I-I promise I get stronger." Sakura promised, touching the back of her head remembering she once had long beautiful pink hair before it was cut short.
She felt so helpless that one time.
She watched her teammates surpassed her and she found herself unable to keep up with them. They're always stronger than her always.
Unable to protect her friends and comrades.
Once her hair was forced to be cut she made a promise to herself.
No more relying on anyone else.
She will become strong. Strong enough to bring Sasuke-kun back with her own two fists and being able to protect her love ones.
Kiki rolled her brown eyes at her daughter.
"oh how many times have I heard that before?" Just when she finished that sentence an Anbu shinobi appeared right beside her parents. He wore a mask.
"Haruno-san, Hatake-san needs our help in Suna and the Hokage requested the two of your teams to be his backup." He said in a monotone voice.
"Understood." Akito told him.
"When we get back, we will discuss your worth in the clan, Sakura." Kiki snarled as she and her husband disappeared in a puff of smoke leaving Sakura alone.
Sakura felt herself about to cry, but she held herself back.
She promised no more crying.
.
When Sakura walked into town she watched as many shinobi genins and chunins were busy repairing the shops and buildings.
Sakura passed many of them before one shop caught her eye.
DOLL- For your life Needs
The sign said on top of the shop. Sakura felt herself being pulled in its direction. She walked inside the shop and instantly she was greeted by a nice old lady. Sakura didn't see her around the village and she looked foreign.
"Welcome, my dear. My name is Chiyo, how may I help you today?" The old woman named Chiyo asked politely.
"I'm just looking around." Sakura told her.
Her eyes widened as she was met with many dolls. All life sized!
In one corner were the females. They were all lined up all dressed in a gothic style dress. The next corner was the males. They were all lined up like the females and have very different styles.
Chiyo noticed something in Sakura. She frowned at her.
"Dearie why so sad?" She asked Sakura.
Sakura eyes went looked at the floor suddenly interested in the tiny specks of dirt.
"I'm getting tired of being weak…My parents; teammates and my friends think that I'm weak. Unable to do anything. I want to prove them wrong…but they all on missions and I'm all alone." Sakura said sadly.
"Oh I have something that will surely keep you company and make you stronger." She exclaimed.
Sakura felt excited.
"Follow me, miss." She instructed.
Sakura followed the old woman to the next room. A huge signed was hung up reading Puppets.
"More common in Suna, Puppets are weapons." Chiyo said, directing her to the last puppet on the left with blood red hair.
His eyes were closed and he seemed very lifeless.
"I know, I witnessed one in battle." Sakura said, remembering the Chunin Exams.
"What about I make you a deal. I give you this fine fellow for only 300 yen. He needs a good home." Chiyo took the puppet from the hook that kept him in place.
The puppet wore a blood red t-shirt with black jeans. He wore his headband (Suna) around his neck. His eyes were closed, but he looked completely breathe taking and he only costs 300 yen! That was a steal.
A smile covered Sakura face- "It's a deal!" She said handing the money to the old lady who laughed at her.
"There's a smile. Take good care of him. His name is Sasori."
Chiyo handed Sakura the puppet. The puppet seemed so light in her hands…but she felt something weird. She felt something pulsed inside of the puppet. She shook it off the next moment thinking it was nothing.
"If you need anything else, I'm always here." Chiyo told her. Sakura nodded her head.
"Thank you, Chiyo-sama."
She rushed out of the shop ready to play with her new doll…well puppet.
