You would think that paying for a bunch of food would be easy right? Not with Ino Yamanaka it wasn't, the blond had to argue over every little detail when dealing with the bill. "I do not remember ordering these dumplings! And another thing, where is the food that we asked for!? It's been an hour already!" The blond complained loudly as her companion shook her head and stared at the counter. it was a nice restraunt, the walls being painted a nice azure blue, overall nice and calming. The counter looked like it had just been waxed, and the fellow patrons were all enjoying their meals.

Tenten tried to focus on the things surronding her, but Ino's complaining always drew her back in. The two Leaf kunoichi had been dispatched to the Country of Waves for a special mission. It wasn't until the Third Hokage had told them it was a C-Mission had they started complaining. But, they had lost the argument, Genin just couldn't argue with a Kage. The mission had been fairly simple, they had to deliever an important package to a Sound Nin in the Wave Countries main city. One problem, they didn't know the name, what he looked like, or whether he was in the city or not. "It's about damn time! I've been waiting here for an hour already! You better make sure this food is good!" Ino shouted as the waiter put the food down in front of them. The waiter simply shook his head and walked away, a good tactic to shut people up. "Ino relax, it's only been ten minutes. I don't know why you're so mad about getting this mission." Tenten said as she began to eat the food, it wasn't bad, despite the poverty, the Wave Country did some very fine cooking. "Look, Tenten, we got assigned a C-Mission, no Jounin, and we don't even know who's supposed to pick up the package. I think I've got a good reason to complain."
Ino said as she began to eat the food, at least eating shut her up.

Two shinobi stopped in front of the restraunt that Tenten and Ino were eating that, they didn't know this, but they were going to check to make sure. One of the shinobi looked quite like a women, long straight black hair and a mask that hid his face from view. The masked shinobi's companion wore glasses, purple clothing, and had his silver hair pulled back into a ponytail, the Sound villages symbol on his forehead protector. "What do you think Haku? It sounds like it might be them, but you can't be too sure." Yakushi Kabuto asked Haku, who turned to look at him before looking back at the restraunts doors. "This is the last place in town Kabuto. It would make sense they'd be here. I say we check it first, then we tell them the operation has been delayed." Haku said in a flat voice as Kabuto nodded and pushed the doors open.

Tenten and Ino both turned around in response to the doors being opened to see an odd sight. They saw a shinobi with purple clothing, and a women with a mask on. Not exactly the most normal sight in town but what struck was that the male had silver hair and a Sound headband on. "Yamanaka Ino, Tenten, I assume? My name is Yakushi Kabuto. I believe you have a package for me." Kabuto said as Tenten reached to grab the package they'd been carrying. But Ino had to do something entirely differnet.
She wasn't going to let this smug bastard just take this thing and not get a piece of her mind. She got down from the chair at the counter and stood directly in front of the silver haired shinobi.

"What the hell took you so long? We've carried this stupid package for over two days! What are you even going to do with it, anyways? And who's under that mask, huh?" Ino said as she jabbed an accusing finger into Kabuto's chest. Tenten shook her head again as Kabuto smiled at the questioning. He adjusted his glasses and threw a glance at his companion, the one with the mask. "Haku, show them who you are without you're mask. They'll be coming with the package anyways. We've been sent to assist you in delivering it." Kabuto said as the two kunoichi both stared at him. Haku reached with his hands, and plucked the mask from his face.

Haku had dark brown eyes that almost seemed to show what was going on in his soul. The Mist Village's headband on his forehead to keep his hair out of his hairs. His skin had the color of white alabaster, Tenten had to admit, Haku was a beautifil women. Kabuto waved a hand at Haku as he put his mask back on. "This is Haku, he is from the Village Hidden in the Mist. Haku is male, just to make sure you're perfectly made aware. Now, about that package. There's something you should know about it, some peo-" Kabuto would've said more, had he not been so rudely interrupted by the dozen or so shinobi that dropped their disguise as patrons of the restraunt and decided to attack.

All twelve of the shinobi dropped their genjutsu effect at the same time, it was like seeing poetry in motion. Well, if you weren't Haku, Ino, Tenten, or Kabuto it was like seeing poetry in action. Kabuto smiled falsely as he raised both of his hands to show he was unarmed. "Are you sure we can't negotiate this, gentlemen? I men, we do come from several shinobi villages who would pay for our return. So, why don't you forget about the whole package thing, and spare our lives?" Kabuto asked as the three others looked at him.

The apparent leader drew a katana and pointed it rather melodramtically at our four unlucky heroes. "Kill them all! The package is to be taken intact! For the brotherhood!" The leader screamed as he began the run across to Kabuto, he never reached him. Haku riddled the body with senbon and he dropped, moaning in pain as the needles had only been aimed at his legs. There was the other eleven to worry about however, and they had already reached Kabuto by this time. "Haku! I need you to protect the package, and make sure the two Leaf nin don't die on us!" Kabuto managed to yell as he blocked a potential strike from one of the assassins.

Haku to his credit managed to hold about four of them off by himself. His speed combined with the fact the assassins simply hated him was mostly the reason, so that accounted for about six. The other five? Well our two kunoichi had to handle them. "Tenten, I say we take the package and run. It looks like these two have everything taken care of." Ino whispered as Kabuto managed to stab one of the assassins with his Kunai. Tenten might've responded, had it not been for Haku bowling into her. It was for the best however, as several shuriken buried themselves in the wall where she'd been standing.

'Tenten, do try to be more careful, I can not protect both you and Kabuto at the same time you know." Haku said as he threw a senbon that stopped one of the assassins in his tracks. "Haku! Stop mating and bonding with females and more killing!" Kabuto yelled as three assassins decided to strike at the same time. "Hai Kabuto!" Haku yelled as he got off of Tenten and resumed his fight with four assassins. That left three assassins for Tenten and Ino.
"Ino, I have a plan, what I need you to do is to dis- Where the hell's Ino?" Tenten asked as Ino made her way stealthily towards the restraunts doors.

Ino was just about to reach the dors and push them open when one of the assassins took notice and managed to stop her. "Going somewhere, little missy?" The assassins voice was almost a hiss, a snakes hiss, it sounded too much like someone every Leaf nin knew. Ino looked down the length of the drawn Katana, the sharp end mind you, and was prepared to say something when a Kuna took the assassin through the neck. "If you try that again, Ino Yamanaka, the next one goes for you!" Kabuto yelled, she couldn't even stay to fight for her own life, mildly pathetic.

Kabuto threw himself to the wooden floor in order to avoid a weapons stab and when he looked up, the three were gone. They were pinned to the opposite wall, piereced by various weapons. He turned his head to see Tenten with a massive scroll, that was it. "Let's end this, I have a feeling more are coming." Kabuto said as their eyes settled on Haku and his fight with the last assassin.
This last one might've been good, but he wasn't Haku good.

The assassin danced in with twin Katars strapped to his arms and got lucky, real lucky, and managed to slash Haku's mask. "Come one my dear, let's see what you look like underneath the mask!" The assassin hissed, snake like as Haku began the hand seal for Thousand Flying Water Needles. The assassin's eyes widened in schock as the needles hit, ripping him apart. A very big mess was made as a result.

"Well it looks like we took care of them in short order, right guys?" Ino asked cheerfully as all three turned to look at her. "You did nothing. Nothing! You tried to run, thank the Kage that assassin stopped you. What the hell were you thinking?" Kabuto asked as he fought down the urge to stab Ino. "You seemed like you three had it pretty well handled. Besides, we're all alive, and that's what matters, right?" Ino asked brightly as she looked at Tenten for some sign of support. "I believe we should begin moving. They will send more assassins to check the success of their plan. It is in our best interests if we're not around to confirm their suspicions." Haku said as he began moving towards the door. Kabuto looked at the two leaf kunoichi. "I hate to tell you this ladies, but you have to come with us. Now come, we've got a safe house to be getting to." Ino snorted as the two were about to leave. "Oh, and where is this safe house exactly? Out in the middle of a forest without any security?" Kabuto turned around, he had a key in his right hand. "Actually, it's an apartment in the downtown area. We might be attacked by assassins, but we still have a place to live in a town. Are you coming or not?" Kabuto asked as the two shinobi left the restraunt.

"I suppose we might as well trust them." Tenten said as she hurried after them. Leaving Ino alone in the middle of the destruction. "Come on guys, wait up! I hate being around all this stuff! It's not good for my skin! Guys!" Ino whined as she ran after them.

One of the 'dead' assassins twitched as he wormed his way off of the weapons that pinned him to the wall. His blood seemed to be flowing back into him. "If I'd known there would be more then two, I would have asked for more. But what's the fun in the game if there's no extra players?" He asked himself as he knelt down next to the leader, still laying on the ground. "Brother, help me. I require aid, the brotherhood must be alerted of our failure. The shadowed hand must roused and the artifact retrieved." The leader managed to gasp out as blood began to stream from his wounds, a side effect of the iniation rites. The assassin shook his head as he listened and stood back up. "Be calm brother, you will find peace." The leaders face showed a hint of a smile but it disappeared with the next sentence. "You'll find peace, in death. You have failed the brotherhood. And I will bring forth the news. Now calm yourself, It's a temporary pain, the side effects are the killer ones." The assassin giggled almost as he flipped an odd vial full of black liquid.

It took a full hour for the screams to stop. And even then the corpse still screamed. An annoyance, one that Brother assassin Durran would be sure to make note of. His puppets were becoming increasingly resilient to his treatments.
