so sad. but though i would have loved a little more fluff and if jiraiya wrote his letter like he really meant it. other than that, i loved it. and, if i could just make a suggestion to the possible sequal, i think you should write about tsunade's reaction when she finds jiraiya alive. dead would work too, but not that suprising so, yeah, alive.

Author's Response: Well, my take on the whole thing is that fluff and passion would be somewhat inappropriate for Jiraiya and Tsunade due to their age. I wrote this the way I thought Jiraiya would have written anything of the sort, so I guess it's just the way I interpreted his character. No biggie.

I'm leaving this story and the letter open to reply from other authors for the moment. I don't know, though... I agree with TTM on the fact that a reply might detract from the mood of this story. Personally, I'm not really inspired to write a sequel at the moment.

Anyways, thanks.

Journal has been slow. I have worked out that writing after work isn't really an option and I have been reduced to writing on my days off (which means I will have to push other things out of the way).

I am not happy with the gap I haven't written in, and I fear I have probably lost most of my fans :(

As for the Beta-Reader, I may be able to do it, but first I would like to know what my duties would be. Am I correcting spelling and grammar errors, or continuity and such, or both?

Your answer will help me work out whether I can take on the job or not (especially since I have little enough time as it is to write my own Fic).

Cheers mate.

Author's Response: The job would entail both, and I'd appreciate it if you give me feedback on stylistics as well. However, it won't take up too much time, since I'm pretty slow on updating recently as well (schoolwork...). If you're busy, though, I can understand.

Yeah... I think I lost a lot of readers, too (if I had any in the first place). That's why I posted a sneak peek for Air Mail in my profile/journal. Check it out, if you like. I might transfer it to a story post dedicated to previews and sneak peeks soon.

Cheers. Let us drink to the success of our stories.

Nice work mate, the letter especially is well written. I always liked Jiraiya, and I'm glad you did it right by my image of the man.

Cheers mate, another good work chalked up to you. I will not be putting my own name forth to write a reply, as I believe that writing anything further would take away from the whole heartedness of the letter (Jiraiya's response to Tsunade's queries about it and so on).

Anyway, nice work :)

Author's Response: Yeah... I would like someone to reply to this, but I also feel that saying anything more would take away from the whole feeling of the letter. My whole-hearted thanks to you. I'm not exactly a fan of anything sad or angsty, but they're good to have once in a while, when you're a bit tired of fluff. Besides, I just come up with stuff when I'm having manic episodes. How goes your work on Kiba's Journal? I'm waiting patiently for an update. As for me, I've got the next chapter ready for Air Mail, but it won't be out until my usual beta-reader can check it. By the way, she's pretty busy recently, so I'm considering you as backup. Contact me if you're interested, and I'll see what works out.

Nice...Very Nice!!

Author's Response: Thanks! Check out my other stuff, too, if you like.

oh come on! You have to write what happens when he comes back! This is just too good to not see that!

Author's Response: Sorry to keep you hanging, but I'm giving other authors the chance to reply to the letter I wrote in Jiraiya's POV. I'm glad you like the story... I might collaborate with someone else to finish it later on, but right now I'm waiting for someone to come up with a reply. I hope you can bear with me.

Aww! that was really sweet, and i can imagine Jiraiya writing that. Did Jiraiya actually die, or did he just accidently drop it?

But nonetheless, that was magnificent! Excellent work

Author's Response: Jiraiya isn't dead. He dropped the letter by accident, but he intended to send it to Tsunade if he couldn't get out of the situation he was in with his life. However, with all the current manga chapters, there is a possibility that he will be killed.rnrnAnyways, thanks!
