Well it has been a very long time since I came to this website but I have to say your story was first for me to reread after all this time and it reminded me why I loved reading fanfiction. I found it just as compelling as the first time I read it all those years ago. It's so bittersweet to read for it reminds me of life in how we try to fill a void in our hearts with such artificial things that will never be perfect substitutes in what we truly need. We think we need it and we depend on it so much that when the thing we truly need presents itself, we are lost to how to claim it but claim it we must for how can that shadow blare loudly as the star that we have blazing in front of us? I love the focus on that though; the language that you use to describe the loss and heartache; the overall looming toll it was having and the spiral downwards of needing to fill what he so desperately needed from life and that being love. It is still sad to me to read him gaining what he desired only at the end of reminiscing on his life. Like a metaphor for everyone to read about life. Overall I feel that the syntax was done well and there isn’t really anything I would change on it. It will always be a beautiful bittersweet reading for me to remember and enjoy. Thank you.

This story was like starcresten lovers, or was it star crossed...doesn't really matter. The story itself is hard to decipher for well...its unique in its own way. It seems to be in a sadden but, accepting light and to me it feels like that could happen to someone. They have a comfort item that they keep with them all their lives and when they find something even better than it they forget it but, if what was better gone they still have it...Like a rope to keep you from falling...this is a really well writing peice of work.

It's almost a joke, how late I'm getting back to you, but I hope you know that I am still very sincere about my gratitude for your support! It's annoyingly hard to review your stories because they can be so surprising and brilliant, it's hard to know what to say.
But I can try.
This isn't as good as some of your other stories, but I like it non-the less. You do come up with the most original ideas and this is no exception. Same for your writing style - moving, descriptive, really drawing the reader in... there's nothing else I can say. You did a great job, again.
Author's Response: I just find it incredibly amusing that you think that some of my worse stories are "good" and the ones I like are "worse." XD It's just funny how things work. I re-read this recently and I found that, though I cannot say I am completely pleased with the writing style and flow, I liked this story. Always have. So did my beta-reader! And if she likes it, that usually means it will "last." So far, so true. LOLrnrnBut again, thank you for your high praise! I don't deserve it, seriously. This stuff is SUCH old work. I'm kind of embarrassed by this stuff now, don't you know?

aww that was so sweet! and i love soft peppermint candies too! i loved the ending! *tear* it just makes it so much better that they died together! *claps* this is such an awesome story! i give it a ten out of ten!! i wish i could give you more though *pouts* well jaa ne for now!!

Awh, that was sad. I wasn't expecting him to die. I like peppermint and chocolate lollies.. They're good. Now when I eat them, I'll be reminded of this story. xDD Anyway, I liked this story heaps! :D I'm making a mental note to go read your other stories, 'cause the two I've read so far have been heaps good. :]
