Chapter notes: My First fanfiction, so be nice.

Song is "Push Me Away", by Kutless
The moon was in full control of the sky as Sasuke Uchiha walked into his room. He was
exhausted from the day’s training with Orochimaru, and the Snake Sannin Had pulled no
punches. Nevertheless, Sasuke welcomed the feeling of pain, knowing that it merely
meant that he was one step closer to his revenge. Overwhelmed with fatigue, He
staggered over to his bed, turned on the radio, and settled down for a good night’s sleep.
However, sleep was forgotten as he raised himself slowly from the bed and began staring
at the radio:

You tell me it’s nothing, but I feel it’s something in your eyes,
A fear is there.
You say you don’t need me, don’t try to deceive me
By pulling the wool, over my eyes,
There’s nothing wrong with needing help sometimes,
What are friendships for now please

By now, the Uchiha Prodigy was perched on the edge of his bed, peering fixedly at his speakers. With out warning, images of him, Of the life he had left started flitting through his brain faster than he could stop them. “No!” He yelled to himself, “I can’t let that distract me!” But his resistance was no use, as something he had almost forgotten he possessed started to stir within him: A conscience.

Don’t Push me away, Condemn your pride,
Some times we all need a hand to get by.
Don’t push me away, condemn your pride,
When tears start to fall, then with you I will cry.”

Slowly, tears began forming in his eyes as the memories washed over him like a flood. Asob broke through his lips as a picture of a loudmouth, color-blind ninja with an unbearable smile passed in front of his eyes. “Naruto” He thought as the tears blurred his vision. The blond had been as obnoxious as all get out, but he was the only one in the world Sasuke had even considered a friend.

No one is perfect, it just isn't worth it
To stand on your own, though fear is there.
Don't be ashamed to ask me to help you
To deal with the thoughts, spinning your head

There's nothing wrong with needing help sometimes
What are friendships for now please,

As the Chorus went through again, The boy raged with inner shame. ”Idiot!” He yelled in his head. “How many times did he stick his neck out for you?! How many times did he put his life on the line for yours?! Far more than you ever deserved, that’s how much!!!”

You can lean on me.
Stand by my side, we will fight.
We are much stronger as one.

Before the final chorus had begun, Sasuke was out the window, speeding towards
Konoha. “I’m sorry, my friends.” He thought as a picture of his teammates passed through
his mind. “I left you behind, but now I am returning. I am coming back to all that ever mattered. I am coming Home!”
