Sasuke's POV
There I was. Standing in front of him. The bodies of my dead parents creating a wall between us.
"Nii-san... why?" I managed to choke out in between sobs.
"To measure my capacity," Itachi replied, his eyes showing no regret.
"THAT'S IT?! THAT'S YOUR EXCUSE FOR KILLING EVERYBODY?!" I screamed.
Itachi's stare grew colder. "It had to be done."
"WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU?!" I charged at him to recieve a punch to my stomach.
"Otouto, you're pathetic," he took a step closer to me.
A wave of fear spread over my body. I slowly backed towards the door. "D... don't kill me!" I turned and ran out of the house. Itachi ran after me and jumped in front of me, blocking my way. I stared at him in fear, tears falling down my cheeks.
Itachi glared at me in return. "Foolish little brother. You are not even worth killing. If you want to kill me, settle for hating me. Hate me and live like the coward you are. Clinging to life with no honor. I started to run in the other direction as fast as I could until I was out of the Uchiha Compound. I paused for a brief moment to catch my breath, then kept running to the village for help.
