He cried in silence now, cuddled against Sasuke’s chest as if he might disappear if their bodies were the tiniest bit apart from each other.
Sasuke’s arms were wrapped around the boy, his lips resting gently against his earlobe.
“Don’t cry Naruto…”
His words were soft, barely more then a whisper in his ear.
The blonde was quiet for a little longer before turning in his arms, facing the dark haired boy who held him so gently.
He stared into worried black eyes for a moment before letting his gaze slip slowly down the rest of his features.
There was a large mark on his left cheek, the beginning of what was sure to be a large bruise.
His fingers trailed gently against the wound, barely ghosting against the marred white flesh, as if almost fascinated.
He frowned, lapping at it gently, his blue eyes that had been glinting an odd shade of crimson a moment before now closing.
“I’m sorry…” He whispered, still licking lightly at the wound.
Sasuke closed his eyes, leaning ever so slightly against that tempting touch.
“Don’t be”
Naruto’s lips trailed down the side of his face to rest at the nape of his neck, his breathing steadying gradually.
Sasuke bit his bottom lip lightly, feeling a warm wetness against his skin.
“I don’t want you to cry anymore Naruto, please stop…”
Naruto sniffled softly.
"It hurts Sasuke..."
His words were muffled.
"What hurts?"
Naruto pulled away slightly, holding a hand to his heart.
"This hurts, make it stop"
Sasuke gave a weak smile, kissing away his tears.
"I'll make it stop Naruto, don't worry..."
