Chapter 1: The new Shinobi in town

Tsunade observed the young shinobi’s profile, half impressed of his abilities. So, he’s the son of the Thousand Shinobi. Impressive scamp, he was quite tall at 10, now 15 huh?
A dark man strode down the hallway leading to Tsunade’s office. He opened the door and entered. “Ah, Ryu, you’re early, as always.” Tsunade observed the tall young man. “Tsunade-sama, you’re still the same I see.” Ryu had no expression on him face though.
Tsunade paused for a moment. “Well now Ryu, seems you’ve just arrived here, I heard your father’s been murdered. Deeply sorry to hear that. You’ve been assigned as a Jounin, you passed the exam pretty well and even asked for the Jounin exam. Impressive.”
Tsunade looked down at his profile once more. “You will be assigned to Team 10, where there are 2 Genins and a Chuunin. Here’s the address. Their Sensei is officially retired.” Ryu nodded and head out the office.
At the bridge, Ino, Chouji and Shikamaru were sighing. He was late, they thought. Still very quiet, Ryu walked towards them. Ino noticed him and almost fell when she saw him. She knew what it was. She just wouldn’t say it. “I am Ryu, your Sensei… well I guess I’ll train you till… next week? Summer holidays I expect.” Suddenly, all 4 of them heard a shout. “Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!” 5 Narutos leapt out from the bushes. One of them accidentally pushed Ino into the river. With a swift move, Ryu held her and pulled her up. “Ino-san, are you ok?”
He was young, but still somehow, made Ino feel closer even though he didn’t pull any closer. She had never felt this “something” in a long time.
