Slipping through the window you were sure not to wake the blonde, you walked over to the bed slowly, as Naruto rolled over in his sleep, you sat down on the bed next to the blonde who was snoring gently, you looked upon him with such love such devotion, he had tried so hard to get you back and it killed you every time you crossed his path. At the time it just wasn’t right, but it was different now you had killed Itachi and Orochimaru, you were free to give yourself to him, granted that was if he still wanted you.
Naruto had stop chasing you through the lands about a year ago, And no one knew you were back in Konoha, but every night for the last three months you came here and watched him sleep, so many times you wanted to lean down and kiss those perfectly formed lips, but you didn’t dare not yet, it was too soon and you had already caused the once bouncing blonde enough pain.
Since Jiriya had passed Naruto had been having nightmares, sometimes violently thrashing himself around the bed, little did he know it was your calming touch on his forehead that settled his distress.
There was so much you wanted to tell him, so much you felt, but in true Uchiha fashion, you were terrified to reveal yourself to him, but tonight was the night you had to do something, you pulled out a rose from your pack and placed it on Naruto’s bedside table, the slightly crumpled flower would have to stand for what your words could not form.
You removed your sword from your back and placed it next to the bed softly; you lay next to the blonde and faced him, gently touching the tip of your nose with his. You would give anything to have the Blonde wake up and instantly forgive you for running away and leaving him behind, but you knew that wouldn’t happen. You traced your fingers over Naruto’s scarred cheeks.
Just like every night you found the tears falling from your eyes, your tears kissing your cheeks gently, you wiped the tears away, as you told Naruto about your day, how much you missed him, and how like every day since, this was by far the highlight of your darkened day.
The sun began to rise over Konoha’s iconic mountain face, and you knew it was time for you to depart, Naruto would be up within the hours, leaning down you gently kissed the boy’s forehead, one single tear rolling down your cheek and falling onto Naruto’s forehead, you swiftly picked up your sword and placed it through your signature purple rope, you jumped up on the window sill and with one last glance, you jumped out the window, hoping like every morning that Naruto knew you were there with him.
