I’ve always wondered if it was possible to hate someone so much that you accidentally fall in love with them.

I mean, can that really work?

Can you really loath someone so much that you actually start to fall for them?

That’s how I felt about Naruto.

There was always something about him that ticked me off.

Maybe it was the way he smiled.

That big stupid grin of his.

Man, it drove me crazy.

Or maybe it was the way he laughed at everything.

It was so incredibly irritating.

It was as if it was impossible for him to stop being so damn happy.

I can’t help but chuckle at this.

Apparently he wasn’t as happy as he let on.

He’s gone now.

How long as it been?

Six years?

Six year without that ridiculous grin or that annoying laugh?

Ha, it’s strange how that doesn’t make me happy.

I used to want him gone so much.

So damn much.

I smile bitterly.

If only I had known how much I would have missed him if he left.

Sometimes I wonder where he went.

Where could a twelve year old boy have gone?

How could he have survived?

I push those thoughts gently to the back of my mind, feeling that bitter pain start to build in my chest again.

He wasn’t dead.

He couldn’t be.

He was Naruto.

Happy, smiling, obnoxiously loud Naruto.
