I really liked this fan fiction! How all the character was in-character, specially Tobi. When in most fanfic he is all sweet and playful. You mixed it well ;D
Also liked to read a non fangirling story about Naruto.
I thought it was sad that she didn't meet the Akatsuki earlier and that they didn't was more in the story! But can understand that it's hard if they is going to be could and super evil (Like they should x)
Anyway, your story was awesome! Keep them coming ;) Have to check out if you have some other work out now ;p

I had so much fun writing this story... it's probably not a good sign since it's such a dark story, but it was just so much fun to see what would actually happen (as I saw it). I loved writing the villains, especially the twisted and sadistic version of Tobi, so I'm especially glad they came across well. Heh, we just have to hope that if we ever really mysteriously fall into the world of Naruto, it's not quite like this one. :) Thank you for reviewing!

Well, now that it's 1 in the morning and I read this story I can definitely say I won't regret waking up late tomorrow. You did an awesome job keeping the story engaging and ALL of the characters realistic. Totally awesome.

Just finished reading the whole thing. I have to say, that this was amazing! You wrote this so well, and you brought about feelings that really caught the readers. Your writing is incredible, and it almost felt like this was really happening in real life. And that was just an amazing way to end this story. So mysterious and cryptic. I loved the entire thing! I kinda wonder how other authors deal with the whole 'returning' thing... or if anyone really has, because these kinds of stories always seem to die out before that. Heh, maybe I'll have to tackle that subject as a one-shot or something one day. It'd be fun; a difficult situation to explain without coming across as a liar or insane.

Author's Response: Thanks, I'm glad you liked the ending. I wanted to leave it off with just enough 'closure' but also something that would leave readers kinda wishing there was a little more... I could've dragged things out and kept Ashley around in Konoha or whatever longer, but I felt if I stretched it out too much I'd start repeating similar situations or something. Sometimes short, good, and complete is better than novel-lengthed, repetitive, and never-really-finished. Right? :)

Author's Response: lol. Yeah, I updated a lot all of a sudden. :) And the next chapter should be up very soon now... As for asking after characters... she hasn't, really, because she has unfortunately developed a rather paranoid view of her impending treatment if she lets out the intimate details of her knowledge. It seems to be implied that what she talked to the Hokage about was mainly Akatsuki and probably rather vague references to the rest of the world. Although I'm sure she really wants to. ;) Thanks for reviewing!

Yeah, I don't think Tsunade would be outright cruel to someone in Ashley's position, but I also don't think she'd be open and welcoming to a stranger with such an outlandish story. Happy (or not so happy) medium, then. :) I hinted at how far Ashley had gotten in chapter one... the cover features Deidara, and the full extent of his jutsu is shown inside... I'm not particularly surprised no one picked up on it, because even I keep forgetting which one it is, exactly, but it was Volume 40, which goes through Deidara vs. Sasuke and the beginning of Jiraiya's mission to Rain. It was implied that she'd only just gotten the book and hadn't had a chance to read much, yet, so I'd say she's read through about 361 or 362, partway into the Deidara vs Sasuke fight. And now we know. ^^

Author's Response: Glad you liked the chapter! Feeling sorry for Ashley seems to be a theme in this story... she goes through some rough times. (The author says unapologetically.) Actually... there are only a few chapters left of this. I'm not sure how many exactly, because when I actually write it out, everything seems to end up taking up more space than I thought it would, but we are closing in on the end, 'soon'. It's always a little sad when they end. *sigh*
