Oh...Creepy... So many questions too...Why are they there? Where exactly are they? Why is Orochimaru there? Is Sasuke there with them? Is this some ind of plan to get Sasuke back? Why did Shikamaru cause this? Shouldn't he be more upset that he is getting blamed for something so horrible? Is it like a mission? When will they leave? Will they ever leave? Will they get out together? What is Neji keeping track of? What kind of document uses purple ribbon? Why tie it up in cloth when it is just a ribbon? Does Neji know how cute he was being? Is Orochimaru going to rape poor Neji? Is Shikamaru mad about it?
My mind is truly boggled.

And what did I tell you about belittling your wonderful work? I never know what you are talking about, insulting such a nice little piece like this. And who cares if it is late? The short piece of drabble mess I came up with was on Christmas day and still sucked, so, it's not like the day matters >.< It's the thought that counts right. ^.~

Gah, I'm so happy you liked this one! There are a few questions I can clear up for you without revealing too much about the story that, apparently, I'm going to be writing next summer. Neji is keeping track of the days, how long they've been in the situation. I have no clue about the document... I was just thinking that most document/scrolls are tied up with string for transport so this one was conveniently tied up with purple. The document doesn't play that important of a role (actually... I lied... I just came up with a great role for it). He tied up the ribbon in cloth because it's Christmas, and Christmas presents usually come in wrapping. And no, ^.^' Neji doesn't know how cute he's being, or he'd throw a fit.
*sighs* I tried not to beilittle my own work! I thought what I said about it was very true... It was vague! And if I'm not allowed to belittle my own work, neither can you! I bet you're Christmas one-shot was amazing and everyone loved it, didn't they?
Anyways... I'm off to check out any new stories you've posted since I've been gone... *traises off*

I like the Chistmas feel to it... otherwise just feels like an excerpt, but as a taster for the rest of the story it's very effective; I'm really interested to know the rest of the background, though this is enough I suppose to imagine a lot... so I suppose it does stand up on it's own. Probably if you hadn't said it would be hard to understand without the rest of the story, I would have made more effort to imagine the background.
Anyway, it's a nice piece of writing, thanks for sharing your talent!
