Author's Response: Sorry. Trying to spell by sound, and to me it always sounded like Ho-ka-gay which in pronouciation would be spelled "Hokagei." E is usualy pronounced as "eh" like get. Lots of poeple spell it Hokagei just as they do Hokage, but if it irks you so much I'll change it.

Update! But, what does Jouichi mean in japanese?
Author's Response: I really don't know what it means. I searched like 50 different sites to find it out for you, but didn't find anything. Jouichi is based on a friend of mine who's name starts with a J and so I looked up Japanese baby names and found a name that suits my friend and the Uchihas by sound.
