I do want Shikamaru to meet Ino, and since you're starting it off, you should do the part of Ino, walking to the training grounds and thinking to herself.
Just a suggestion... maybe Shikamaru would be late, and he'd arrive at the last minute while Ino's about to leave. Ino finds that she can't move... you can cut it off there, and I'll pick it up where you left off. How's that sound? I can definitely work with whatever you come up with, though, so if you have other ideas, put them to use if you like. I can handle them.
