You know, I just re-read this, and it broke my heart all over again. This is still one of the most amazingly deep stories I've read on this site, and I hope that you are still writing. A lot of the people I used to read are no longer on here, it's been to long that I've been gone myself I guess :)

i thought your story was brilliant! i loved the FOB lyrics that cotributed as a soundtrack of sorts and how the lyrics perfectly complimented the paragraph it followed its the best fanfiction ive read in ages and im such a sap i cried at the end !! but i loved it ! lol
whew. yet another raw story. n.n I think I like these way better than any fluff story. I just can't see the ninja way of life being fluffy. Anyway, just wanted to tell you that you are an excellent writer.

I love the doors theme you've been using! Doors seem like such good metaphors for so many things now. I'd like to see a Naruto one, but perhaps it would be too similar to Kiba - actually, Kakashi would be really interesting, I think, if you're considering more door drabbles. Kakashi and Obito! There's a pairing I don't know why I've never seen before. Their relationship is in the manga Kakashi Gaiden arc if you haven't already read it.
That's just a suggestion though! A kind of 'if' you felt like more doors and 'if' you felt like doing Kakashi, and didn't want Iruka.
Anyway, really good little stories, both the Doors so far.

As for Obito... I'm sorry, but I really don't like reading the manga. I find that the art in there isn't as good as in the anime, which the anime isn't even all that great at times, sadly. If I do Kakashi, he'll probably either be on his own, or with Iruka. I like the Kakashi x Iruka pairing a lot. I'm afraid to do Kakashi though because, undoubtedly, a fic having to do with him and doors (specifically: nailing them shut) will come to mind, and I don't want it to sound like that fic (which was very good, by the way).

I come up with all my plots when I try to sleep... it's obnoxious, really, because if I don't write them down as soon as they come to me, I lose them, so I have to get up, out of bed, find the lamp, the desk, a pencil, paper, and scribble it down. Back to bed, then repeat. Yuck.

Shikamaru should kick Neji's ass and be like "Bitch, I'm the best thing for you so deal with it!" Then be his lazy self as Neji comes about to realize that Shikamaru is right, as always. Love the fic, it is realistic to what Neji would do, other than I think Neji would come around and realize that hey, Shikamaru deserves better and I can be better than that. But this is a song fic and shouldn't last longer than the last line of the song so... Good job! A 10 and a plate full of cookies to you! *Hoshi steals one* Damnit Hoshi! Author's Response: Thankyou, I'm glad you liked it and were honest in your opinion. However, I think you'll find that your opinions hold more weight if you use the proper capitolization, significantly less chat speak, and punctuation (such as commas, periods, and, god-allowing, some appostrophes).
I'm more than happy to check out your story, but I hope to god you make better use of your conventions there.
god, that's it so sad in a 'I'm so glad that worked out for him, yet I still wish he didn't have to go through it in the first place' kind of way. Neji and Shikamaru together?
